Meet Navpreet, a student physician at Interfaith Hospital in Brooklyn. Navpreet is originally from California and he is here visiting and working for 6 weeks. He is working in the psychiatric area of the hospital and has found himself here at a rather stressful time when the need for physicians, healthcare workers, nurses, residents, student doctors and workers has been paramount. First, Navpreet, we want to thank you for your service. All doctors, nurses, residents, and workers are health heroes and we appreciate you!
Home Sweet Home-The Bernard Brooklyn Home
Navpreet lives in our Bernard Brooklyn Home, modern home in Bed-Stuy in a historic brownstone that has been completely remodeled into a sleek modern coliving space with a rooftop deck, courtyard, game room, TV area, two coworking spaces, and a gym. You can choose from private rooms with a shared bath, a shared room with a shared bath, or a private room with bathroom en suite. It’s our largest home and a great place to be, especially in this beautiful weather with the views of the Manhattan skyline from the roof and the frequent gatherings in the courtyard with the grill and space for community gatherings.
The New York Coliving Experience
Navpreet says he had always wanted to visit New York but never found the time. In these weeks, he has made up for a lost time. He’s visited the Brooklyn Bridge, hung out in Dumbo, experienced Midtown and lower Manhattan, and of course, explored all of the major sites open in NYC.
Navpreet chose coliving because he knew the challenges of moving to a big city and he knew that coliving would make it easier to find community while living away from home. “Living here at coliving with SharedEasy, it was very easy for me to interact with new people, so the transition was a lot easier than it has been when I’ve moved to different states before.”
Navpreet’s advice for those considering coliving but maybe feeling a little unsure is to try it. He admits he was a little unsure himself, but, “I found myself loving it.”
