SharedEasy Opens Doors to Traveling Doctors and Nurses during COVID-19

In February, as the tide turned it’s wake to the states and New York became the epicenter of COVID-19, Governor Cuomo issued a nationwide call: “Please come help us.” The response to the call was overwhelming. Medical workers, traveling doctors, and nurses, first responders, and mental health workers arrived ready to assist the brave healthcare workers of New York who were weary and overworked as they fought day and night to save lives among a shortage of supplies and the battle to stay healthy themselves.

Hassle-Free Renting

SharedEasy Coliving began with a vision to provide hassle-free, affordable living in the big city. That vision extends into a commitment to create and nurture community among our residents and to provide an alternative to the long-existing complicated rental process that has permeated the real estate market in New York for decades. New York City is the place where people come to realize their dreams. We take pleasure in our part to make this happen. In assuring that travelers, students, interns, digital nomads, corporate executives and all who flock to the City for a dose of New York City Energy have a place to call home. Now, amidst the Coronavirus Crisis, we add to the mix the dedicated health professionals coming to the rescue during New York’s difficult days. As the crisis intensified and the “Stay at Home” mandates were handed down, we asked ourselves, “What can we do to help?”

No Security Deposit

SharedEasy is opening our doors with dedicated housing options in three of our homes in convenient locations in Brooklyn, Long Island City and Manhattan (near Central Park.) SharedEasy is offering housing options to accommodate healthcare workers, traveling doctors, traveling nurses, medical personnel, and first responders so that they are assured a safe, healthy and affordable place to live while they do the “work of the angels”. We are waiving deposits, dropping prices almost 50% and cording off designated areas specifically to serve those who are coming to New York to serve on the frontlines.

Thanks Health Heroes

SharedEasy knows you are heroes; and unlike many other companies, we did not advertise with bold statements or PR when the crisis broke out. Instead, we consulted with first responders in the field and with hospital contacts to ensure that we listened to your needs and met those needs while keeping our existing community safe by implementing policies and procedures to provide safe and healthy places to come home to after your days and nights on the front lines. Our pledge is to serve during this challenging time by offering the best services and accommodations and to offer them at affordable rates. This is our “Thank You” to all of you heroes!
