One day in New York with SharedEasy

New York is reopening. Spring is here, summer about to be around in the blink of an eye.

So to make sure y’all don’t miss out on the fun, we’ve decided to share with you weekly events that will be happening thru out this spring/summer 2021 in NYC!

This will be dedicated for our Art Lovers, Foodies, and to all of our Good Samaritan in search of a good time 🙂

I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE falafels and here good news to all of our falafel Lovers, MAMOUN’S  just celebrated recently its 50th anniversary! It’s one of the most famous places to get you a quick little snack to enjoy the Middle Eastern flavors for only a few bucks. It’s right on St.Mark’s and second ave, awesome neighborhood to go enjoy some deep NYC vibes. The East Village is many things to many people—it’s the birthplace of punk, a haven for artists, an oasis for the odd, where to go for a fun night out. You will find plenty of cool little shops, bars, cafes…

Maybe y’all could pay them a visit and try one of their authentic homemade Falafel made with the flavors of home and a bunch of love. The falafel is served in a pita with lettuce, tomato, and tahini, and you’d be well advised to add hummus or baba ganoush.

You can customize them as it pleases you.

And They have Dessert too !! 😉

After your little Afternoon snack, y’all should wander around Madison Square Park and check out the new Art exhibition they promoting. 49 white cedar Trees were planted to raise awareness around the ill effects of climate change. Let’s stay Aware !!

Speaking of the new Art Exhibition, we have Sanford Biggers’s Oracle—a 25-foot-tall cast bronze sculpture that weighs 15,280 pounds—is a continuation of Biggers’ “Chimera” series taking place in Rockefeller Center.

The enormous figure depicts a man boasting the sort of expression that really resonates with us after over a year spent in lockdown: pensive, deep in meditative thought, probably wondering what else Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo are going to throw at us next. Wearing what seems to be a toga and holding onto a torch, we have to admit that Oracle speaks to us. The statue is truly a mood.

What a day !! But we can’t get over our busy day in the city without a nice chill drink, can we?

Here’s, my favorite pick of the week for all my Tequila lovers 😉 or must I say Mezcal lovers  !!

A tropical oasis awaits you in Soho at Gitano’s Garden of Love. It’s bringing back its massive Mezcal bar with views of the Freedom Tower and the downtown NYC skyline and gorgeous greenery that will make you feel transported to Tulum, Mexico.

And they have Food too!! 😉

Executive Chef Antonio Maldonaldo’s menu this year includes Mezcal-focused cocktails and modern Mexican dishes cooked in a wood-burning oven and open-fire grill, including the tuna tostada, truffle tlayuda, grilled chicken pastor, watermelon salad, and more.

Meanwhile, have a nice week, and I’ll see y’all next week. XOXO !!

Love, your Su.
