About this House

It’s Modern Living in Historic Brooklyn at our newly renovated New York Friends Home. All of the comforts of home with special perks like weekly cleaning, smart ROKU TV, stocked kitchens, and comfy linens as well as a dedicated co-working area await you in this hip Bed-Stuy neighborhood home.

Private and shared furnished rooms, free utilities, fast wi-fi, and a great community are just a few of the things you’ll find at our New York Friends Home in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn.

We’ve added pops of color to bring the cool Brooklyn art deco feel to the home. Graffiti wall murals with messages of “Love”, “You’re Amazing” decorate the walls to echo that New York City vibe.

An open kitchen, a long community table perfect for potluck dinner as well as tall hip bar tables align the walls of the funky common living/dining area. The living room with its yellow bean bags and the sunny sofa is a cozy inviting place for movie nights or just for relaxing after a hectic day in the City.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances — two refrigerators, two ovens, and all of the essentials — coffee maker, pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, stove, oven, and microwave.

The house has 3 apartments with a different and unique layout: seven bedrooms in total with  shared rooms equipped with wardrobes and closet organizers make for ample space and a place for everything. The beds are twin, beds-linens, towels, comforter, and pillows are provided.

The rooms are full of light and hardwood floors add to the open, comfortable feel of the home. Three shared bathrooms are centrally located and have an art deco feel and modern fixtures to make for a clean crisp feel.

The prices listed below serve as an initial indication and are based on a 12-month contract. However, the final price will be determined by various factors such as seasonality, availability, and commitment level. Our pricing policy follows the principle of offering discounted rates for longer stays, ensuring that the longer you choose to stay with us, the more affordable your rates become.

Explore the neighborhood

Dekalb Avenue mixes the best of Brooklyn — it’s in Bed-Stuy and borders on the Bushwick neighborhood and it’s just a short walk to the hip and trendy Ft. Green. Dekalb Market dishes out “global eats, foodie faves, and great groceries” just 15 minutes away from the Friends Dekalb House. The Market is located inside City Point Brooklyn with shopping, cool places to eat, and entertainment venues like  Alamo DraftHouse Cinema, and the Dekalb Stage, a 7,500-square-foot event and entertainment venue featuring music, dancing, comedy, and sports. Learn Salsa & Hustle at the dance parties, Bachata, Dandy Wellington Swing Nights and sports light up the big screens when the dancing is done.

Bushwick has super cool venues like neighborhood dives, urban tiki bars, vintage shopping, artisanal coffee shops, and iconic eateries. Places like the weird and wild House of Yes, Roberta’s, Le Garage, and Friends NYC are some of our favorite places to visit in Bushwick.
