Explore the neighborhood

Our Morningside Park Home is surrounded by a neighborhood rich in history and serenity. Here you will find beautiful century-old establishments like The Cathedral Of Saint John The Divine (the largest cathedral in North America). Riverside Park is one of those special places in NYC where you forget you’re on in a space with 8 million people. Near the The Hudson River Greenway is a 5-mile walking, running, and biking trail along the Hudson River that connects Battery Park & Riverside Park. The heart of NYC’s culture is its connection to the arts. Lincoln Center is close to the Morningside Heights Neighborhood. It is a centerpiece of New York City’s performing arts scene and a major source of pride for Upper West Siders. As you come upon Lincoln Center, you’re literally entering a campus of entertainment.

Morningside Heights has a lively culinary, bar and night scene. You can find world-famous restaurants like Tom’s Diner from Seinfeld or Book Culture, hip places to hang out such as Columbia Greenmarket open Thursdays and Sundays (and even on Saturday!), And if you’re feeling creative then head over Levain’s Bakery which was voted best cookies in NYC thanks their delicious flavors sure don’t hurt either.
Whether you’re a college-aged student in the area, or just passing through on your way somewhere else – there’s plenty to see and do here!
